Thursday 12th January is a Drop Down Day. The academy will finish at 1.15pm for the secondary and 6th form phases.
Wednesday 12th October we have a Drop Down Day in the secondary phases and all pupils will be leaving school at 1.15pm. In the afternoon and evening there is a Year 11 Parent Evening to support our pupils in considering their option choices at Sixth Form. There is also an event for Year 13 pupils applying to University. Parents will have received more details regarding these events through personalised communications.
Well done to our pupils on a superb set of examination results and assessments across all phases of the academy.
In the Primary Phase the pupils matched or exceeded our expectations despite having missed a significant chunk of time due to Covid. At GCSE we achieved our best set of results in the school’s history and continued the upward trend over the last few years. At A’ Level there was significant improvement on the last set of published results with some outstanding individual performances with students accepted into Russell Group Universities and accepted onto highly competitive apprenticeships across West London. This has all been achieved in the challenging circumstances created by the pandemic which means that these children took the first set of public examinations for three years.
They demonstrated their determination and maturity leading up to the exams and their behaviour and attitude was impeccable throughout. They fully deserve the great results that they have achieved and are a credit to their families, our academy and most importantly to themselves.
Due to the extreme weather forecast pupils in Nursery, Reception and Year 1 will not be expected to be in school on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th July.
All pupils return to school on Wednesday 5th January at their normal start time. As you know the Omicron variant of Covid is spreading rapidly and with this in mind we strongly encourage all pupils to take a lateral flow test at home on Tuesday 4th of January. If your child does test positive, then please let the school know. The government have also announced that it is now compulsory for secondary age pupils to wear face masks in classrooms, as well as communal areas such as corridors. It is important that all pupils remember to bring a face mask to school on Wednesday morning, unless they have an exempt badge.
