Performance
Since 2015 nearly 80 students have studied Degree courses at Alec Reed Academy. The first three cohorts have graduated with a Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning, the majority attending the graduation ceremony in Worcester Cathedral. About three quarters of these have gone on to study for the BA in Professional Practice.
Several students from the first two cohorts have completed or secured places on a PGCE course or other route into teacher training. Some of the first cohort are now full time qualified teachers.
Several students have progressed to roles of greater responsibility in their current settings or in new settings, as cover supervisors or HLTAs, a significant enhancement of their current roles as TAs. They have attributed this career enhancement to their increased confidence and greater knowledge from the Foundation.
