Child Protection
Alec Reed Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All applicants will be subject to strict vetting and checks, with all successful applicants having to undertake a statutory enhanced DBS check as well as the latest requirements set out in the DFE’s Keeping Children Safe in Education document.
All checks must be complete prior to commencement of employment or placement otherwise start day will be delayed.

Data protection
Alec Reed Academy is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. Our privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal information about you during and after your work relationship with us, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
If your application is successful the Academy will retain your application form for the duration of your employment in your personnel file. All unsuccessful applications will normally be confidentially destroyed after six months.
