Careers Education
Careers education is a central part of our work. In preparing our young people for life, from the time they begin their education at Alec Reed Academy, they are offered a variety of opportunities and experiences from the ‘world of work’. We work closely with the REED Network to identify placements for a wide number of students as well as access to further education and Apprenticeships.
The Academy employs its own dedicated Work Experience and Careers Co-ordinator and also has a permanent base for careers advisors in the Academy to provide information and advice to enhance the extensive Careers and Work Related Learning programme. We are fully committed to being an Investor in Careers Academy. We are working towards the Reaccreditation of QICS award, which showcases the Academy’s commitment to developing students' futures by providing various opportunities to encounter and visit employers to shape their future careers.
