We have the rare opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced staff in a high-quality and well-resourced environment in the role of Primary Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting them in removing the barriers to their learning by working on a 1:1/small group basis with children that follow a scheduled daily/weekly programme of support. We are based in West London/Ealing. This position is to commence as soon as possible.
This role is to work term-time only, plus Professional Development days. You will be working 36 hours a week: Monday 08:15 to 15:45, Tuesday 08:15 to 16:15, Wednesday 08:15 to 16:00, Thursday 08:15 to 16:30 and Friday 08:15 to 15:15.
Skills & Experience needed:
- The role involves working with the teachers, usually in the classroom, to support access to learning for pupils with SEND needs and providing general support to teachers in the management of pupils and the classroom.
- GCSE Grade D-G or Functional Skills Level 1 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
- An awareness and understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age with SEND needs
