Dear Parent/Carer

Following the announcement regarding the reopening of schools from the 8th March, our intention is that the Primary Phase will fully open on Monday 8^th March, year 6 will start at 8:20am and all other year groups at 8:30am. The nursery will operate as normal with the am/pm cohorts.

The secondary phase will have a staggered return during the first week enabling us to implement the Government plans to test all secondary age pupils for coronavirus, using lateral flow tests, before their return to the classroom.

Year 11

Monday 8th March Year 11 have their Lateral Flow Test, in form groups, at the time identified below and then return to full lessons on Tuesday 9th March

8.30-9.00 – Form Group 11 Alpha  9.00-9.30 – Form Group 11 Beta  9.30-10.00 – Form Group 11 Gamma

10.00-10.30 – Form Group 11 Delta  10.30-11.00 – Form Group 11 Epsilon  11.00-11.30 – Form Group 11 Zeta

Year 10

Monday 8th March Year 10 have their Lateral Flow Test, in form groups, at the time identified below and then return to full lessons on Tuesday 9th March

12.30-1.00 – Form Group 10 Alpha  1.00-1.30 – Form Group 10 Beta  1.30-2.00 – Form Group 10 Gamma

2.00-2.30 – Form Group 10 Delta  2.30-3.00 – Form Group 10 Epsilon  3.00-3.30 – Form Group 10 Zeta

After the test pupils will be allowed to return home, providing the test is negative they will then return to school the following day to start lessons.

Year 7

Wednesday 10th March Post 16 have their Lateral Flow Test, in form groups, at the time identified below and then return to full lessons on Thursday 11th March

We will also be expecting face masks to be worn in "all indoor environments" in the secondary phase - including during lessons - where social distancing cannot be maintained. Ms Franklin and I will be communicating with you again later this week to confirm the logistical arrangements for the return of each year group, these will then be reviewed at Easter by which time we hope the number of Coronavirus cases will have continued to fall and in line with the Prime Ministers roadmap, restrictions can be eased.

I ask you all to continue to play your part in maintaining the basic protocols of Hands, Face, Space and ensure that your children to the same.  If we continue to take appropriate precautions then we will hopefully be able to view the 21^st June as an end point of restrictions, in the meantime we do not want to put anyone within our community at greater risk.
